Lil Wayne Bans Alcohol on Tour
Lil Wayne's legendary backstage parties just got bone dry. The rapper, currently serving a three year probation banning him from alcohol and controlled substances till 2013, is taking sobriety seriously and has demanded his backstage area be kept booze-free.
According to TMZ, a media rep from the "I Am Still Music" tour says the shows will all feature, "a dry backstage as we are committed to keeping a safe and professional atmosphere to ensure a smoothly running tour." Weezy took it one step further and banned alcohol from his tour bus as well.
This is a bold move for the artist, who is as infamous for his substance abuse as he is known for his hit records. But luckily, it seems like sobriety has not had an effect on Weezy's talent--his Sorry 4 the Wait mixtape debuted to mostly positive reviews and hopes are high for his upcoming album.
